Pawan Kalyan is back and the hero has shed his lover boy image to play a cop in Komaram Puli. The film marks the return of hit pair Pawan Kalyan and S J Surya again on Telugu screen. Earlier the duo carved a name for them in Khushi.
Pawan Kalyan has a complete changeover in his looks in this film. He plays a cop with a military haircut and a moustache in this film. The name of the movie has been adopted from the name of Komaram Bheem, a martyr who fought against the Asaf Jahi dynasty for the liberation of Hyderabad state.
Actress Hansika was originally chosen for the heroines role but she opted out of the project at the last moment. Nikisha Patel has stepped in to her shoes. Shreya makes a guest appearance in the film. Manoj Bajpai, Charan Raj, Nassar, Jyothi Krishna, Ali and Girish Karnad play pivotal roles.
The music for the film has been composed by Oscar winning A R Rahman.
