Only 3 films 'Aegan,' 'Seval' and 'Megham' were released for this year's Deepavali. In the last minute, 'Theeyavan' release was held up due to hassles.

Out of the 3 films, 'Aegan' is on top. It made 91 lakhs in the first 5 days. This year, after 'Dasavataram,' 'Aegan' has been the most favorably received film.

Hari's 'Seval' is in 2nd place. In 3 days, it made 32 lakhs. 'Kaadhalil Vizhundein' is in 3rd place. It made around 8 lakhs last week. In 4th place, 'Sa-ro-ja' made 5.5 lakhs. 'Sakkarakatti' is in 5th place.

The Deepavali release 'Megham' does not figure in the top 5 films.
