Two suspected swine flu patients die

Two persons suspected to have been suffering from swine flu died today and the swab sample tests of a woman who passed away recently were found positive for the H1N1 virus, officials said here.

The two who died today were identified as a 26-year-old youth from Malipura and a 20-year-old girl from Vaijapur tehsil of the distrcit.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held today to discuss the situation in Aurangabad in view of rising number of cases of swine flu.

"The AMC has resolved that Rs 10 lakh would be given for treatment of swine flu patients. This fund may be utilised for ventilators and other necessary equipments. The fund would be given from the emergency fund of the AMC," Aurangabad Mayor Anita Ghodele said.

Four patients suspected to be affected by the deadly virus were admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) today.
